Lost in a Book

I went into a jungle;
Thick and dense, dark.

Last night it was.
What I saw was a lion;
Its rusty beard,
Fierce claws,
Devouring jaws.
Afraid of the monster;
Gargantuan head,
Slow and steady walk–
Walk
Towards me.

Suddenly–
I heard a voice,
Closed the book,
And went for the door.

I Am

The sun is dark
Here in the shadows
As dark as the midnight
I like them–
No heat
Only me
I see in
I see.

No more shadows–
The phoney shadows.
The clumsy silhouette;
Black and blue
Following till they disappear.

Am I a psychopath or the sun?
To think I am
I am
There is only me
I am
Not a sick philosopher–
The energy;
Strenuous vitality
I am.

Jump Little Monster

image

Jump!
Jump little monster

The river rushes for you.
How poltroon you are.
Decision once taken
Stand comme il faut.

Stand!
Stand where you are
Little monster do not fight.
The world is up to slaughter you
Anyway.

Jump Lilliputian monster
You contemplated it
Now prance
For your life
Guzzle up from Lethe
She would not come back.

Standing On A Seashore

image

I am standing on a seashore
Like a vessel for departure.
The sea calls me in
To explore new places,
To see new faces beyond
The ordinary horizons

But I’m afraid as fear calls me out
To a distant city where we meet people.
The same old faces I see everyday
Where I belong, cannot leave.

The city dwellers, the nightwalkers,
The clerk and the watchman.
Stand and sit for a whole life,
To bread and not to change.

I am the one with an old axe,
Cutting the edges, not of the sea
But myself to sharpen my shape,
Not to be fierce but to be foul;
And I am standing, standing
On a seashore, unprepared.

The Remaining Blood

image

My naked bones shiver
Winter evening beckons fiercely.
I hope in vain you’ll cover them
With your warm flesh– flesh
Reason wanes and emotion sways

Volcanoes gutting deeply
Out of nowhere
Flood the remaining blood

I cry fiercely–a storm
Longing my senses to recuperate–
Reminiscences haunt

You appear
Like a ghost from a dark cave
Whispering–

A shaman bringing hope, flesh
The senses.
What a pain without you
Have I known.
