A Harrowing Tragedy

What I don’t say
Is what you see in my eyes–
They are clear.
My strange silence is known to you.
You’re the exuberant joy,
Living inspiration;
I see in you an effectual remedy
Of my heart.

Though piercing eyes
Seldom see
What is clear.
Lost in a pardonable pride;
Your apathetic smile, beguiling–
Is a harrowing tragedy
For the heart you animated–
Now extinguishing
In delicate tact.

Jump Little Monster

image

Jump!
Jump little monster

The river rushes for you.
How poltroon you are.
Decision once taken
Stand comme il faut.

Stand!
Stand where you are
Little monster do not fight.
The world is up to slaughter you
Anyway.

Jump Lilliputian monster
You contemplated it
Now prance
For your life
Guzzle up from Lethe
She would not come back.

I Don’t Know You

image

Passages recall unobserved,
Pages shuffle,
Mind deviates,
History is forgotten.

Cactuses like in deserts grow
Upon the barren mind,
Fancies enveloping the veins
Like the Staff of Hermes.

Thoughts like a peripatetic fatigued.

Love begets hate to see the face
Once loved,
Now hated.

Hate grows and outweighs the weight
Of galaxies upon galaxies.

Now I’m wearied, exhausted and oblivious.

When you come!
When you come!

Know that I don’t know you!
